All consultations are by appointment only. We offer face to face or telephone consultations. Routine appointments can be made at reception either by telephoning or by calling in during normal surgery hours. You may see any of the doctors at either surgery. We will always try to offer an appointment with the doctor of your choice. It may not always be possible. Some doctors work part-time. If you wish to see a particular doctor or to be seen at a specific surgery, please let the receptionist know when you request an appointment. Please note which surgery your appointment is made for. You can book your appointment at either site, by telephoning the surgery or using our online booking facility.
The “next day” only availability of routine GP appointments has been under review since this was introduced in August 2016.
As we start a new year, the Partners of this practice feel that we are now better placed offer pre-bookable routine appointments one week (7 days) in advance. Therefore please note that from 23rd January 2017, routine GP appointments will be released every day at 9am and are bookable 7 days in advance. For example, on Monday 23rd January we will release appointments for Monday 30th January only.
Additionally, to improve patient access in November last year we also introduced a new on-line service “e-Consult”. This provides 24/7 access for all patients over the age of 18 with a guaranteed enquiry response within 24hrs. This has proved to be a very popular and successful service with many patients using this on multiple occasions. In addition to GP access patients are able to make enquiries regarding specialist referrals and insurance / medical enquiries and this is supported by our administration team.
